Fun Landscape Photography Retreats
Since the early 1990's, Lavonne has enjoyed taking special trips with like-minded individuals with cameras in their bags. Since moving to the Southern Nevada region digital cameras have developed and dominated the camera scene. However, there's always a little twinkle in her eye when "film" is mentioned.
Lavonne's goal with this website is to help others capture their vision, with a camera.
Over the past 30 years Lavonne has successfully captured her vision of her photographic subjects. Her goal with this website is to help others capture their vision, with a camera. She's also become a gadget queen in the digital world and will introduce you to all kinds of "trouble". -- Let's hear from her: -->
Lavonne's Creative Process
Post-Processing is almost as important to me as the actual capture of photos. I can work for hours on end "In My Zone", which is an integral healing part of my photography. I had heard from a fellow in my Chronic Pain Clinic that he didn't have any interests to take his mind off of his pain. I tried to bring more of his interests out, but soon realized that it was his choice to stay in pain and let pain rule his life. At that moment, I knew I could not allow pain to drive mine. Adaptation is key in living with any illness. I'm open to connecting with those who may also wish to have more Joy and Pleasure in their lives by using art. My choice is through photography. I hope it's yours too, or soon to be.

As I age, it gets harder and harder for me to hoist a loaded pack on my back for miles of hiking. I think this would most likely be the case for others in their 60's, especially those like me who are recovering from an illness. The first 3 hours of the above 6 hour day trip in Yosemite NP went well, however my feet were killing me in my hiking boots for the last 3 hours. I wished I had packed a pair of slippers for my 3.5 hour bus ride from Yosemite back to Fresno, CA. (LOL) Earlier that day, I captured one of the best photos I can remember taking, despite the Summer crowds! It's called, "Get Lost in Yosemite", and it's placed in my Gallery. The moral of this story is, Never Give Up on Yourself and don't over pack!
I look forward to seeing what you create.

"It's almost like using you camera as a healing tool." -- Lavonne Hing.
3colorz founder and guide, Lavonne Hing, scouts out inspirational landscape photography locations with you. She discusses selecting gear and settings if you wish, but the goal is to help you capture your vision using any camera. The entire process is Zen-like and it's almost like using your camera as a healing tool. This is the only healing photography tour you will ever take. Over and over again.
Due to the small size of our groups, our clients get individualized attention . Many locations or your choice with schedules available upon request.
Why the name 3Colorz? It’s based on color theory. RGB stands for red, green, and blue channels and is one of the color profiles used when presenting photos on computer screens. All that you see on your screens are based off the red, green, and blue hues. Thus, grew our name 3Colorz.
Absolutely breathtaking! It's like I was there.
